Performance Studies Associate Professor Alexandra T. Vazquez will present the annual Juan Antonio Ramírez lectures at the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid on Oct. 13 and 14th: "Para escuchar lo que vemos" (To hear what we see), and "Para ver lo que escuchamos" (To see what we hear).

The Juan Antonio Ramírez Chair at the Museo Reina Sofía invites Alexandra T. Vázquez, tenured professor at the Institute of Performing Arts at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (NYU), to its program of master lectures, an annual event for reflection on art historiography, which coincides with the inauguration of the academic year of the Master's Degree in History of Contemporary Art and Visual Culture, organized by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and the Museo Reina Sofía. The program includes a seminar and a conference on the relations of music with different experiences, objects and spaces, and also on the methods, modes and approaches to what we think we know about the visual.
