As a first-generation Mexican-Dominican raised by an immigrant parent in San Antonio, Texas, I bring a unique perspective, shaped by a deep commitment to preserving and amplifying diverse voices and stories. I have collaborated with a wide range of individuals and organizations, including community leaders, educational institutions, non-profits, and artistic communities. Together, we have launched initiatives that foster positive change and advance shared goals.

My journey as an artist and community member has equipped me with a versatile skill set, allowing me to coordinate and implement transformative programs, showcases, etc that serve BIPOC communities, LGBTQIA+ groups, Mujeres, and youth. I am passionate about harnessing creativity to address societal challenges and create meaningful impact through artistry/activism. These experiences, combined with my academic background, have equipped me with the skills necessary to excel in the knowledge of performance studies.

I will be working this semester as a first-time NYU student as an Audio/Visual Assistant under the supervision of NYU Institute of Fine Arts Digital Media!

My academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Mexican American Studies with a focus in social justice, which has profoundly influenced my approach to activism, art, and community practices. This educational foundation has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the historical and cultural narratives that are often marginalized. I have learned the importance of preserving these narratives, not just as a means of historical record but as a vital tool for social justice and liberation. This advanced academic pursuit has deepened my understanding of how performance intersects with culture, history, and identity, and it has amplified my interest in the preservation of artistic and cultural legacies through performance work.
