I am Mengyuan Shui and I am an international student from Guangzhou, China. I am interested in different forms of art, from music to installation art, and I plan to explore more about them not only from academic aspects but also hands-on experience in the coming days.

Why PS @ NYU?

Though Performance Studies was my second choice during the college application, it triggers my interest since it blends in different areas that I am passionate about like art, gender studies, and media studies. Moreover, I plan to do video art or installation art in the future, and studying Performance Studies enables me to build a solid foundation when creating art pieces.
