B.A. Candidate
She is currently a first-generation college student attending NYU and majoring in Performance Studies. She graduated from Fordham High School for the Arts in the Bronx with an advanced regents diploma, a chancellor’s arts endorsed diploma, and is OSHA certified. She is a member of a non-for-profit organization called SEO Scholars, an 8-year-long academic program that gets low-income public high school students to and through college. In high school, she was a technical theater major, where she got a general understanding of what it takes to produce a show effectively. As such she has various experiences and exposure to the theater such as participating in Roundabout Youth Ensemble in the summer of 2020 and being an Open Stage Project (OSP) member of Act 1, 2, and 3. In Act 3 (2022) she got to intern with a production manager who was working on an Off-Broadway show called "Between the Lines" and "The Jimmy Awards" (The National High School Musical Theatre Awards). More recently she has freelanced as a production assistant in The Jimmy Awards 2023 and for Actors' Equity Association (AEA) 29-hour- readings and tier 3 pre-Broadway readings. At NYU she is currently an assistant production manager at Tisch New Theatre (TNT) production of "No Guts, No Glory".
Why PS @ NYU?
Performance Studies concepts of combining and learning about disciplinary contexts have always interested me and not many schools offer performance studies. Moreover, performance studies helps me see my interest and love for theater from a new perspective and understand it more so I can have a holistic approach and understanding to working in the theater world–not as an actor–but in the technical theater world.
