Rohini is a performer, choreographer and teacher from Riverside, California. At the age of 6, she started learning the classical South Indian form, Bharata Natyam, in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from UCLA in 2008, she spent two years in India extensively training in Bharata Natyam under renowned master teachers. She received her M.F.A. in Performance and Choreography from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2014. Her work focuses on pedagogy, performance, and choreography in Bharata Natyam within the South Asian diaspora.
