Grace McLaughlin

Grace received her BA from NYU, where she focused her studies on critical theory in literature and on individual and cultural conceptions of gender, sexuality and race. She completed a thesis on the paratexts of early editions of The Picture of Dorian Gray and was awarded the Roger Lee Deakins Prize in English and American Literature and the Dean's Award for Scholarship in the Humanities. Grace's current research interests are centered on performance and the law, and she hopes to use the theoretical tools Performance Studies offers to write and think about affect and performativity in the US Supreme Court.
