Henry Bial is Professor of Theatre and Director of the School of the Arts at the University of Kansas, where he also serves as Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He is the author, editor, or co-editor of five books, including THE PERFORMANCE STUDIES READER (3rd edition 2016) and PLAYING GOD: THE BIBLE ON THE BROADWAY STAGE (2015). He is a past president of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education
