I have been excited at the prospect of becoming an academic, while also being continuously interested in the creative power of written and spoken words. Definitely interested in continuing to write - be it a thesis, a play, or a novel - as I have always done while also dabbling into the creative world of translation, and performance.

Why PS @ NYU?

There has always been a pull towards theatre, the excitement I felt as an audience from the seats as well as the magic of working backstage as an amateur playwright and stagehand during my undergrad years. But I truly became interested in the power of statements performance can make during my semester abroad, as well as my undergrad studies leading towards the interaction between politics and performance. It made me want to delve more into the theories behind such phenomena, to understand the intricate connection behind society and performance.
