Brothers for Life - The link between fraternity hazing and endurance performance art

Description of Capstone Project

My capstone project is in the form of an academic article. In the academic article, I discuss several tragic incidents involving actual hazing rituals that have come to light in the media due to their fatal implications. In doing this, I intend to relate these hazing rituals to various terms in the performance studies lexicon. I attempt to explain how these rituals can be viewed as something deeper than just nonsensical acts of stupidity/violence. I also intend to draw some sort of linkage to the works of well known endurance performance artists - Teching Hsieh, Pope. L, etc.
