Professor Bayeté Ross Smith, who teaches Open Arts' Photography I course, was recently selected as part of The New York Times' Race/Related project in August 2016. The project brings together Ross Smith together with two fellow media makers to ask and answer "potentially awkward race-related questions on Instagram and sharing the answers with [readers] as a way to start more open, personal conversations about race."
