Ziwei Ji

Ziwei Ji started her new media art journey over five years ago. She applies interactions, computational methods, moving images, and inter-medium experiments in her creative practices. Her obsession lies in the polarity found in the same object, and the works she produces aim to raise questions and evoke debates on the contradictory natures that live in harmony. For her, the breakthrough of the barriers of techniques and forms expand art’s capacity to reflect speculations on both connotation and mediums.

Ziwei regards contemporary art as a revolution that gives back the right and qualification to experience, make and evaluate art to the people. She came to ITP because of her interest in empowering art with technologies. And the possibilities of new media art would be the focus of her further exploration.
