Chloé Zhao and Alfonso Herrera Salcedo Win Awards at Venice Film Festival

Chloé Zhao won the Golden Lion for Nomadland at this year’s Venice Film Festival. This award marks the most recent success of Zhao’s Western feature, which premiered at the festival simultaneously with Toronto and Telluride-L.A.. Past winners of the prestigious award include Roma (2018) and The Shape of Water (2017), a film that went on to win the Academy Award for Best Picture.

Also at Venice, Entre tú y Milgaros, DPd by alum Alfonso Herrera Salcedo, won the Orizzonti Award for Best Short Film.
