David Moragas is a Catalan filmmaker based in New York. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Media Communication from Pompeu Fabra University, where he specialized in screenwriting. In Barcelona, he worked as an intern in Andergraun Films, developing a serial project with film director Albert Serra. In 2015 he was awarded the La Caixa full scholarship to study an MFA in film directing in the United States. He moved to New York to pursue his MFA in Film Directing at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. David’s films touch on his sense of diversity and identity outside the norm, by questioning the universal themes of love, family and human relationships. His work has been screened in multiple international film festivals, including the D’A Film Festival, and the Inside Out Toronto Film Festival. David likes nachos as much as he likes stories. Especially when combined.
