Taj Jenkins Musco

Taj Jenkins Musco is a filmmaker who grew up in the hamlet of Royalston, Massachusetts, a tight-knit community of artists and craftspeople in rural New England.  The son of a writer and a master craftsman, Taj is a trained classical musician who decided as a teenager to pursue his passion for filmmaking.

Heeding the call of adventure, Taj traveled to Singapore to hone his filmmaking skills at NYU Tisch School of the Arts Asia.  Taj was inspired by the pioneering and adventurous spirit of his classmates and teachers, and prior to graduating he worked on film projects in Pakistan, Nicaragua, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, and Kuwait; the short films he directed screened at festivals worldwide including Telluride, Slamdance, Moscow International, Glasgow, Tokyo Short Shorts, and Palm Springs. In addition to his narrative films, Taj made an award-winning short documentary about Singapore's first female professional MMA fighter.

Upon returning to the United States, Taj moved to San Francisco’s Tenderloin district where he was inspired to pen Experience.  Taj now calls Los Angeles home, though presently he resides in Hanoi, Vietnam, where he is serving as Director of Photography on a Vietnamese feature film.
