No where else in the world can you find the range of disciplines in one school. Over the last 50 years as we forged new programs, built our home in New York and expanded to our global academic centers, institutes emerged. Each are built with shared values, common goals, and a priority for putting students first. The result – a place where artists and scholars create the future.
Over the course of this semester, students in the NYU Game Center’s “Designing for Museums” course have designed, pitched, and developed prototypes for games and playful experiences for the NYC Natural History Museum. The objective of the projects developed mirrors the primary goal of the museum itself:
“To discover, interpret, and disseminate—through scientific research and education—knowledge about human cultures, the natural world, and the universe.”
This year we will be publicly sharing the presentations of the final projects. Please join us final presentations this Wednesday, May 6th, at 10am.
