Kirsten Pasewaldt (she/her) is a queer filmmaker from New Jersey based in Brooklyn, New York. She is an alumnus of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences “Academy Gold” Program, the Telluride Film Festival Student Symposium, and the Rutgers University Mason Gross Filmmaking Program, where she was awarded the Dean’s Prize for Overall Excellence in Filmmaking. With nearly a decade of industry experience, Kirsten began her career interning at Searchlight Pictures and NEON before moving into production. She has directed and produced several films, which have screened at Sundance, SXSW, Newfest, and more. Kirsten is a current MFA candidate at New York University's Graduate Film Program and a recipient of the 2025 Ang Lee Scholarship.
