UGFTV Alums Edited & Produced "INCITEMENT," Wins Israeli Academy Awards

The film Incitement, helmed by Yaron Zilberman ('A Late Quartet'), was Best Picture winner at the Israeli Academy Awards and Israel's submission to the 2020 Oscars, will open at the nearby Angelika Film Center on January 30th. The film was edited and associate produced by Tisch Alum Yonatan Weinstein (UGFTV, '16), earning him an Israeli Academy Award nomination for Best Editing alongside co-editor Shira Arad, and produced by Tisch Alum Tamar Sela (UGFTV, '02). The film, which had its world premiere at the 2019 Toronto Int'l Film Festival, tells the story of Israel's darkest day – the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in 1995 – through the eyes of the assassin.

Q&As with Director/Writer Yaron Zilberman and special guests (alternately including Dalia Rabin, the daughter of the late Prime Minister, Producer Tamar Sela and Editor Yonatan Weinstein) will take place Thursday 1/30 following the 8pm show, Friday 1/31 following the 8pm show, Saturday 2/1 following the 2:05pm and 8pm shows; and Sunday 2/2 following the 2:05pm and 8pm shows.
