Alumnus Cosmo Carlson ('16) has gotten a second script on The Black List. The Showrunner, is the unbelievable true story of the creation of the world’s first, longest-running, and most notorious reality show—COPS. Based on How Cops Got Made—And What It Says About America by Tim Stelloh.
The lead producer on the film is Kenya Barris, from Khalabo Ink Society, creator of the hit TV show Blackish.
Previously, Carlson's script, Valedictorian, got on the list in 2017. That was announced on YouTube with a funny video by Justin Simien. Justin Simien, is the creator of the TV show, Dear White People.
