Anita Gou ‘13 (BFA, Kanbar, Film & TV)
Gou founded production company Kindred Spirit, which produces content aimed at a global audience and showcases underrepresented voices. Her most recent films, 'The Farewell' and 'Honey Boy,' both showed at Sundance in 2019 and were acquired by A24 and Amazon, respectively, in multi-million dollar deals.

Phillip Youmans ‘22 (Kanbar Institute, Film & TV)
Youmans became the youngest and first African-American director to win the narrative feature prize at the Tribeca Film Festival with his feature debut 'Burning Cane.' The film was inspired by his childhood experiences in the Southern Baptist church.
