2019 Sundance & SXSW official selection LAVENDER is now a Vimeo Staff Pick. Written and directed by UGFTV Alum Matthew Puccini and produced by fellow alums Casey Bader, Tyler Rabinowitz and Corey Deckler. Acquired by Fox Searchlight and screened at over two dozen festivals, and a theatrical run in New York/LA preceding Searchlight’s film The Aftermath, starring Keira Knightley.
The film follows a young gay man (Michael Hsu Rosen) as he grows increasingly entangled in the marriage of an older gay couple (Michael Urie and Ken Barnett). A poignant, nuanced exploration of an unconventional relationship as it blossoms and unravels.
