UGFTV Professor John Canmaker is a guest lecturer at the Nemo Academy of Digital Arts in Florence, Italy, from May 11 to May 20. Topics for his Master Class series of illustrated lectures on animation history include: Winsor McCay; Mary Blair; Herman Schultheis and pre-digital effects; Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, and Mickey Mouse; Vladimir Tytla and Milt Kahl; and John’s creative process for his Oscar and Emmy Award-winning animated film, The Moon and the Son: An Imagined Conversation.
