Assistant Arts Professor Erin B. Mee's This Is Not A Theatre Company is proud to present two new productions, running in repertory: Play! (with new text by Charles Mee) September 8–29, and Theatre In The Dark: Carpe Diem, September 8–October 6.

Play! is an interactive homage to the importance of radical play for a healthy society. What do mass murderers have in common? They are play-deprived. What happens to lab rats when you deprive them of play? They die. The answer to inefficiency is not more work, it’s play. And the opposite of play is not work, it’s depression—co-created by Charles Mee, Erin B. Mee, Jonathan Matthews, and Ezra Brain, with additional text by Stuart Brown, Frederick Winslow Taylor, and Buzzfeed. Theatre In The Dark: Carpe Diem is a multi-sensory theatre piece with food that takes place entirely in the dark. Smell, taste, and touch your way through this nourishing ode to the present moment, and let it awaken your autonomous sensory meridian responses. Choreograph the Dance of Chocolate. Savor life. Carpe diem. Conceived and created by Erin B. Mee with text by Jessie Bear, Anonymous, TS Eliot, and Proust. Get tickets here.
