Sandy Meisner was one of the great pioneers of training and teaching acting in America. Tisch Drama's Meisner Studio offers intensive training in acting, movement, voice & speech and the various related essential disciplines. The structure of the studio reflects traditional conservatory training: each section of 18-20 actors trains together throughout the two years of primary training. Advanced training is offered in the third year.
Productions are chosen for second- and third-year students as the culmination and integration of their training. Each student is cast in one rehearsal project in their second year, and one production and one project in each semester of the third year.
