Launched in Fall 2020, A/P/A Reads is a student-run book club for NYU students with an interest in A/P/A writing and literature. Members meet monthly to discuss selected works, and engage in meaningful dialogue together. The club is sponsored by the Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU.

We welcome new and returning members to join us for our first meeting of the fall 2022 semester on Thursday, October 6. Over food and drink, we will chat about Jay Caspian Kang's "What a Fraternity Hazing Death Revealed About the Painful Search for an Asian-American Identity" (New York Times Magazine, August 9, 2017). We'll have copies of the magazine feature available if you aren't able to read it in advance of the meeting!

Future meetings may include visits to Asian American owned bookstores, literary readings, film screenings, and more.
