Julita Pratiwi has been an Associate Lecturer for World and Indonesian Film History in Jakarta Institute of Arts since 2018. In 2021, she and her colleague organized a collective in the form of virtual class called Kelas Liarsip. It has a focus on learning film archive and tracing the involvement of women in Indonesian film history. Recently, Kelar Liarsip attempted to rediscovering Ratna Asmara - the first female director in Indonesian cinema. One of the way by digitizing her film - Dr. Samsi (1952) from 35mm release print. She had experienced in-handling and inspecting small gauges films during her internship at LUPA, UFF and Museum of Modern Art, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In this Fall, she will be an intern at Third World Newsreel. Lately, she keeps wondering about revisiting the idea of decolonizing film archive and third world cinema.
