The University of Minnesota's Jean-Nikolaus Collection of GLBT Studies curates and collects materials that demonstrate queer and trans life across the world, but more specifically in the midwest. During my online internship there, I worked on creating metadata by writing descriptions for the public access television show GAZE-TV and Green And Yellow TV, which had been digitized previously. I also conducted research on how academic institutions describe AV materials in ArchivesSpace and created an in-house guide for student staff to describe AV holdings for finding aids.
