Ana Salas, NYU Libraries, Fall 2021
As an intern at NYU Libraries' Barbara Goldsmith Preservation and Conservation Department I worked primarily inspecting and rehousing films. I also helped enhance technical and descriptive metadata for the collections, and worked on creating good micro-environments for items sent to offsite storage. At the end of my time in this internship, I had the opportunity to gain some introductory scanning experience by scanning five of the first films I inspected as an intern.
