Zoe Yang, Brooklyn Museum, Fall 2020, RDLGF
In this internship, I mainly worked on the Brooklyn Museum Archives' video preservation project. I conducted preparation tasks for off-site digitization, as well as quality control and metadata ingestion to servers and DAMS. I updated administrative metadata in an analog video inventory and created a new digital video inventory for all 71 digitized assets. I also helped further streamline the preservation workflow of audiovisual items. I was able to gain expertise in collection and metadata management, digital preservation, and video preservation through my work at the archives.
