40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks
During the Spring 2023 semester, I interned at 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks, the production company of filmmaker and NYU professor Spike Lee, under NYU Archival fellow Mike Stetz. Under Mike's mentorship, I assisted in cataloging and labeling mixed media items in Spike Lee's collection, ranging from audiovisual materials, photography, costumes, newsprint and magazines, film and television props to works of fine art. I also assisted with preparations for an upcoming exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum, which involved contextual research on items in the collection.
