2011 APP Alum M. Scott Frank was recently featured on Afternoon Focus to speak about the TaSCA project from InteRoots, an initiative he founded with Chair Ronald Kibirige in 2018. M. Scott Frank is a Denver-based philomath. After the Arts Politics program, he has worked primarily in the political arena as a community organizer and congressional staffer. Currently, their project focuses on communities as well as individuals with manifold perspective and knowledge. Projects are run by Community Boards, which set priorities, methodologies, and timelines. This model, which their team calls non-colonial philanthropy, flips the traditional nonprofit framework on its head. True equity is not given, it rises from the roots.
