Current APP Student Receives Tinker Field Research Grant

APP '22 Felicia Avalos received the Tinker Field Research Grant from NYU's Center of Latin American & Caribbean Studies Department and used the opportunity to explore the interplay between critical theory and creative practice.

The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at New York University invites NYU graduate students to apply for a Tinker Foundation Field Research Grant to conduct field research in Latin America and the Caribbean. These field research grants are intended for pre-dissertation or thesis field research by students at early-stage doctoral and master’s levels, or by those pursuing professional degrees. These field research grants cover travel and related expenses in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Avalos will be traveling to México to study ballet folklórico from today through January 23.
