Dr. Victor Peterson II (MA Arts Politics '14) has published a new piece, "Autophagy" in the Journal of Black Studies.
Dr. Peterson poses to us if racial superiority is a logical contradiction why and how can whiteness be white? This is but one piece in the larger VJPII project of articulation theory, blackness, logic, punk, and social movements.
From the Abstract:
"What follows is a proof as to why, at its origin, the articulation of any doctrine of racial supremacy harbors an internal contradiction. The notion of racial supremacy suffers from its own predicament for, by its inconsistency, Whites cannot be “White.”
