Scott Terrill Loane

Scott Loane was raised between the cornfields and steel mills of northwest Indiana. He came to New York City in 1991 to study acting, directing, and eventually dramaturgy at the Tisch School of the Arts. He took a hiatus from school to found the (short-lived) Parenthetical Theatre Company and to work at the (more enduring) Manhattan Theatre Club as a telephone subscription salesman and Development Database and Gift Manager. His directing credits include The Open Meeting, No End of Blame, and Congenital Metaphysical Paralysis; The Musical. Scott has served as dramaturg on In the Jungle of Cities, Figaro Gets and Divorce, and Be With Me, directed by Edward Elefterion, and on Photograph, directed by Scott Ebersold. He returned to Tisch Drama in 1998 as an Administrative Secretary and to school a few years later, finally graduating with his BFA in Theatre in 2003. Since then Scott has worked at Tisch Drama in many capacities, including Assistant to the Chair, Manager of Advisement for Special Programs, and Interim Administrative Director. He holds an MA in Psychology from the NYU Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and lives in Manhattan with his wife, Nell, and their two children.
