Amy Brost
Adjunct Instructor

Amy Brost started as Adjunct Faculty at NYU in 2018. She is Associate Media Conservator at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and works with the Media and Performance collection as well as the museum's digital repository for art. She has worked in-depth on sound elements in media installations, documentation of media artworks, and digital preservation and storage of media art.
She earned master's degrees in art history and art conservation from New York University and bachelor's degrees in studio art and art history from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, her hometown. She also has an associate's degree in chemistry from New York City College of Technology, and a master's in education from Empire State University. She has taught in workshops on the care of media art and co-developed conservation outreach programs geared for students.
