Research is important to a successful job or internship search. The Career Resource Center in the Tisch Office of Career Development (TOCD) houses major industry trade publications, periodicals, and tools favored by leading professionals. Stop by and browse our handouts, including résumé and fellowship guides, theatre directories, talent agency overviews, interviewing tips, and more. You also have on-site access to electronic research tools such  as the Studio System database, the Foundation Directory, and IMDbPro. You can access these resources any time during TOCD business hours, Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm - no appointment necessary!

In conjunction with the Tisch Office of Career Development, the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development is also available to provide career guidance and development services. The Center hosts seminars, job fairs, and expos, schedules career counseling appointments, connects students with mentors and alumni, trains students in job interview skills and resume/cover letter writing, and compiles employer databases. The Center also maintains NYU CareerNet, an online database of both on- and off-campus job and internship listings for students. For more info about Wasserman's services, please visit their website.

Workshops and Events

Our series of career workshops provides something for everyone! Topics are industry-specific and are often led by working professionals and Tisch alumni. We also cover career development topics, from résumé writing to networking how-tos and “the business of the arts”. A complete list of the Tisch Office of Career Development (TOCD) events and registration info can be found on Tisch College Central.  As a Spring at Tisch student, you are welcome to attend all TOCD events, with the exception of the mentor orientations.

We also encourage you to utilize the career services of your home campus, which may offer their resources remotely.

NYU Campus Access

NYU Campus ID Card

As a Spring at Tisch student, you are issued a campus ID at the beginning of your semester at NYU. This card gives you access to campus buildings, labs, residence halls, and other facilities. Once the semester ends, you are expected to turn your ID card in to Campus Safety. ID cards are deactivated two months after the semester ends.

NYU Community

Effective May 2023, NYU no longer requires COVID-19 vaccinations. However, staying up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations, including booster shots, remains strongly recommended for the health and safety of the student and the campus community—and students are welcome to wear masks anytime they choose. More information about COVID-19 protocols at NYU, including updates, is available on the NYU COVID-19 Information website.
