When the photographer’s mother became ill and began chemotherapy for her Stage 3B cancer this fall, she began to realize that the small scoped perspectives of which many photographers and viewers saw cancer did not fully reflect the mentality of some patients. It’s the very threat to one’s life that can make one realize what is most important, how valuable each and all moments are. This project aims to show these ‘in between,’ everyday moments, in which a family is subtly pulled together, to offer a different perspective of the devastating experience that is cancer.
