Ashley Pena for the New York Times
Second-year Photography & Imaging student Ashley Pena recently photographed up-and-coming actor Corey Night for the New York Times Style section. Ashley's distinctive medium-format portraits appear in the Friday, September 11 print addition on page A9.
Earlier this summer, Ashley also had her work appear in the Times Style section-- a poigniant image from her Black Angels project was chosen as the featured photo for Black In America, Through A Camera. The article discussed a show and auction organized by See In Black with well-known artist Jamel Shabazz in which Ashley was selected to participate.
