The Great Correction is the fifth in the series of evocative and distinctive short films interpreting each of the ten songs on Joan's acclaimed Grammy-nominated album, Whistle Down the Wind. It features still photography by DPI alum and professor Karl Peterson, is produced and directed by Tisch Film & TV Associate Arts Professor Rick Litvin, and edited by Tyler Rabinowitz.

DPI chair Deborah Willis also directed one of the videos: a reimagining of "Civil War." All of the featured videos have been produced in collaboration with New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and produced by Professor Litvin.

Joan Baez's album “Whistle Down the Wind” was released on March 2, 2018, her first studio album in almost a decade, and was nominated for a Grammy in 2019.
