DPI Professor Shelley Rice reviews two shows on African art in Brussels. These include incarNations: African Art as Philosophy and Multiple Transmissions: Art in the Afropolitan Age. Instead of writing a review she wanted to create a "series of ruminations about what [she] learned from seeing the work of young artists, collectors and curators committed to reassessing and understanding the cultural productions of Africa and Africans."
