Bryan Denton, an alum of the NYU Tisch Department of Photography and Imaging, photographed the protests happening in Kartoum, the capital of Sudan for The New York Times. His images accompanied a the article "Bullets, Tear Gas and Love: Romance Blooms in the Midst of Sudan Protests" written by Declan Walsh and published on May 3, 2019, online and in print. 

Bryan Denton is an award-winning independent photojournalist based between New Dehli, India and Beirut, Lebanon. He is a contributing photographer with the New York Times, where his work has focused on conflict, humanitarian issues, and political transition in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
