DPI Alum Alexandra Gavillet Launches #UNMUTED Web Series

Thursday, Nov 17, 2016

Alexandra Gavillet, a member of the DPI Class of 2015, has launched a new online video series entitled "#UNMUTED". The series is part of #HQHB/Meudont.se (High Quality Human Beings/Me You Don't See)

"The purpose of UNMUTED is to release the inner voices and vulnerabilities we are uncomfortable to express," said Alexandra.

"We chose to showcase our series in the subway during this specific period of time because we feel that the silent train rides are filled with an overwhelming, unspoken emotion.

The subway is a symbol of unity, and a transportation that brings people from all levels and walks of life to a destination."

#UNMUTED videos released so far have featured models and activists Ebonee Davis and Iskra Lawrence.

In addition to producing Unmuted, Gavillet works as a fashion/editorial photographer for clients including The Fader, Refinery29, Harper's Bazaar, and Cosmopolitan, among others.
