Performance Studies B.A. Candidate Noah Witke Mele's work will be featured as a co-choreographer in the groundbreaking solo show A Singular They, filmed at NECCA as the culmination of a Company in Residence program funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and offered by NECCA.

Toby MacNutt is a queer, non-binary trans, disabled artist living in Vermont. They have been a dancer most of their life, and their choreography and other creative work frequently explores themes of embodiment, identity, and relationships. In a Singular They, Toby asks: “When change is who you are, who are you?” Solos for ground, aerials, and mobility apparatus engage different elements of identity and embodiment, including an outsider’s approach to masculinity, the way time changes with chronic pain, and what it’s like to find freedom.

The performance video will be followed by a live Question & Answer session with the artist Toby MacNutt and NECCA’s Company in Residence Creative Consultant Serenity Smith Forchion.
