Performance, Politics, and Identity: A Conversation between Ita Segev and Ann Pellegrini

Ita Segev creates performance, writes, performs/acts and does advocacy & community building work, mainly around the intersection of her transfemininity and Palestinian solidarity as an Israeli.  She is currently making a show titled 'Knot in My Name' as a Brooklyn Art Exchange 2018/2019 artist in residence. Ann Pellegrini is Professor of Performance Studies and Social and Cultural Analysis at NYU and a candidate in adult psychoanalysis at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research in New York City.

This event will feature a live in progress excerpt of Knot in My Name to be followed by a conversation with Ann about political and embodied transformations, and the role of performance in creating alternative politics.
