Leila Mire is a performer, choreographer, educator, and writer. Since graduating with a BFA in Dance Performance from George Mason University, she has performed with ClancyWorks Dance Company, Silk Road Dance Company, NY Light Latin Cabaret, Nadia Khayrallah+Leila Mire, Bated Breath Theatre Company, among others. Her choreography has been featured anywhere from podcasts to the NY Times and Washington Post. She is a current recipient of the Young Alumni Commissioning Project, the GMU Digital Content Fund, and an Aseemkala Choreographic Fellow. She also writes for ThinkingDance and works in various dramaturgical and activist efforts. She is currently studying to receive her MA in Performance Studies at NYU Tisch.
