Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum Marcus Scott (Cycle 22) will workshop his new horror play THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD as a playwright-in-residence with the Elif Collective as part of their FireWorks new play development program. A presentation of the new work will take place at The Brick Theatre in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on October 7th.
Also, Scott presented a reading of his play SIBLING RIVALRIES in mid-September at the Jersey City Theater Center which is set at a fictional Ivy League school in the years following the Obama Administration and follows a diverse group of young black men, all members of a fraternity, who face shifting loyalties and eroded principles when they are forced to compete against one another for a prestigious fellowship.
