We are pleased to announce that Belu Poncio is the recipient of the 2024 Jeff Lima Production Award with the short film "The Rise."
Logline: Forced to wait with her mother and grandmother in a long line of cars to get gas before the announced big price increase, Carla's perspective of her family and the people around her will be shaken.
Jeff Lima has expressed his sincere gratitude to all the filmmakers who have embraced the call to action for the advancement of Latinx representation in film, and he enthusiastically encourages this year’s applicants to submit a screenplay for consideration, for the subsequent award year.
