The nominations for the 92nd Academy Awards have been announced, and Professor Carol Dysinger has been nominated in the Best Documentary Short Subject category for her film, Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You're a Girl).
Martin Scorsese's The Irishman received 10 total nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Visual Effects, Best Production Design and two Best Supporting Actor nominations. Fellow alum Thelma Schoonmaker received a Best Film Editing nomination for her work on the film.
Professor Tod Maitland has been nominated in the Sound Mixing category for his work on Joker.
Professor Kasi Lemmons' film, Harriet, also received two nominations: one for Performance By An Actress In a Leading Role for Cynthia Erivo; and one for Achievement In Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Song) for "Stand Up" by Joshuah Brian Campbell and Cynthia Erivo.
