"The Salt In Our Waters" Selected for Film Bazaar Co-Production Market

Thesis student Rezwan Shahriar Sumit's film The Salt In Our Waters was selected for the Film Bazaar's Co-Production Market. At Film Bazaar, Sumit had a chance to pitch his film to an array of international financiers.

The Salt In Our Waters follows a sculptor who moves to a fishing island to finish his work, but falls victim to circumstance in his new locale. Alumna Gigi Dement will produce the film and thesis student Jinwei Zeng will be the DP.

Sumit's film was named one of the Finds from the Film Bazaar by Variety's Naman Ramachandran. The project previously won the Spike Lee Film Production Grant. It was also a Finalist at Jerome Grant 2016 and a Semifinalist at Sundance Screenwriter's Lab 2017.
