Martim David Gomes is a young Portuguese filmmaker who is currently pursuing an MFA in Graduate Film at New York University - Tisch. Throughout his career, Martim has directed several short films, often addressing themes such as trauma and sociocultural issues. He enjoys exploring the beauty in the strange and the intimate in the unlikely. At the age of 18 Martim moved to London to pursue a BA in Film at the Middlesex University. His graduation film Dessert was presented at the BFI, Noho Cinefest and MotelX, and played in Portuguese national TV. Martim also works in documentary and commercial filmmaking. He has worked with brands such as North Face, KLM, EDP, Sony, Visit Madeira and Prio. In 2019 he was a NIT New Talent Finalist.
