Ilia Wayans is a biracial filmmaker born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Though inspired by all genres, Ilia has found a niche in coming-of-age stories about flawed people and interpersonal relationships. She explores intimate portraits of familial and social dynamics in her attempt to reveal something honest about human nature through film. Having graduated with a BFA in Film & TV last Spring, she continues to build community through female-driven stories and aims to create a more inclusive representation of Blackness across genres in Film and Television.
